The BlueGrays forum is a place where curious people of all ages learn electronics and help each other out. Zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We remove content that breaks the rules below. Depending on how serious the violation is, we warn, suspend or permanently close the account.
Do
- Be respectful and helpful. Everyone starts somewhere.
- Describe your problem clearly: which board, which parts, which code, what you expected and what actually happened.
- If you use someone else's code or images, credit the source.
- Once your problem is solved, mark your post as "Solved" so it can help others too.
- If you see something that breaks the rules, don't get into an argument. Just use "Report".
Don't
- Insults, harassment, bullying, threats: Don't put anyone down, mock them or try to scare them.
- Hate and discrimination: Degrading content based on race, ethnic origin, religion, gender, disability, age or any other characteristic.
- Sexual and obscene content: Not in any form. Any content that sexualizes children is removed immediately, the account is closed and the matter is reported to the authorities.
- Violence and danger: Asking for or giving help with harmful projects such as weapons, explosives, signal jammers, hidden listening or tracking devices, or accessing someone else's device without permission.
- Personal information: Sharing your own or someone else's phone number, address, school, ID details or a photo in which someone can be recognized. Exposing someone else's private messages.
- Meet-up and private contact requests: Trying to contact others outside the forum, meet them or get their personal information, especially when it comes to children.
- Copyright infringement: Sharing code, images or videos you don't have the rights to, or BlueGrays' Premium content.

Safety note
Mains electricity (220 V), high-current batteries and soldering are genuinely dangerous. When you help with these topics, don't forget to add a safety warning. If you see a dangerous method, politely correct it or report it.
Reporting and blocking
- Report: You can report posts, comments, user profiles and user projects. Reasons: spam, insults or harassment, inappropriate content, personal information, copyright and other.
- Block: When you block a user who bothers you, you won't see their posts and comments. You can unblock them in Preferences.
- Not a member? Use the form at bluegrays.com/en/content-report.
- Emergencies: If someone's life or safety is in danger, call 112 first.
How does moderation work?
- We review reports and notices within 24 hours at the latest.
- We remove content that breaks the rules and keep a record of the reason and date of removal.
- We tell the user who posted the content why it was removed.
- Depending on how serious the violation is and whether it's repeated, we issue a warning, a temporary suspension or a permanent ban. For serious violations, we go straight to a permanent ban.
- For copyright and other rights infringement notices, the notice and takedown procedure in Section 9 of the Terms of Use applies.
- If you think a decision was wrong, you can appeal within 14 days through a support request or at [email protected].
To prevent inappropriate content, we may filter content with automated tools and review it manually.
