Resistor Color Code Calculator (4, 5, 6 band)

Find a resistor’s value from its colors or the color bands from a value. 4, 5 and 6 band resistors with tolerance and temperature coefficient.

How it works

The colored bands on a resistor encode its value, multiplier and tolerance. Pick the bands and the value is calculated instantly, or type a value such as “4k7” or “220” to see its colors. The result is also checked against the E12, E24 and E96 standard series.
