- You can delete your account from the app at any time.
This summary is only here to make reading easier. The sections below are what's binding. Provisions in bold may have consequences that work against you, so please read them with extra care.
1. Parties and definitions
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between Yunus Emre EKE ("BlueGrays", "we"), who develops and operates BlueGrays, and the person using BlueGrays ("you", "user").
- Service provider: Yunus Emre EKE
- Address: Beylikdüzü, Istanbul *****
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: *****
- Web: bluegrays.com
In these Terms:
- Platform: The BlueGrays iOS and Android apps, the bluegrays.com website and the services connected to them.
- User content: Everything you share on the Platform: forum posts, comments, replies, photos, code, user projects, your profile photo, and report and support messages.
- Premium: The content and features unlocked with a paid subscription.
- Educator Pack: A pack that lets educators buy Premium access codes in bulk to hand out to their students.
- Community Rules: The rules of conduct for the forum and other community areas. They form an integral part of these Terms: Community Rules.
2. Formation of the agreement and other documents
These Terms are concluded when:
- You tick the "I accept the Terms of Use" box when signing up with email, or
- You sign in with Google or Apple: a link to these Terms is shown below the buttons, and you accept them "by continuing".
The date you accepted and the version of the text are recorded in your account. You can always find the current version of the Terms in the app under Profile > Preferences > Agreements and on the website, and you can save and print the text.
Along with these Terms, the following documents also apply:
- Community Rules: when you use the forum and community areas.
- Subscription and Purchase Terms, together with the Pre-Information Form and the Distance Sales Agreement: when you buy Premium or an Educator Pack.
- KVKK Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy: these explain how your personal data is processed. They are information notices, not contracts.
- Cookie Policy: for the website.
If these documents conflict, the Subscription and Purchase Terms apply to purchases and the Community Rules apply to community areas. In every case, the legal provisions that protect consumers come first.
3. Scope of the service
On BlueGrays you can:
- Discover Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi Pico projects, build them with step-by-step guides, and look through ready-made code and circuit diagrams,
- Browse the component database, build your own parts inventory and use Workshop to find projects that match your inventory,
- Use the Code Guide and Block coding, and make use of the electronics tools,
- Solve Daily Questions, earn badges and XP, and take part in the weekly league,
- Ask questions on the forum and share posts, comments, replies, photos and code,
- Submit your own project (it's published if approved),
- Open a support request.
The app shows which content is free and which is Premium. Part of the service is also available on the website. Purchases are made only through the App Store and Google Play.
4. Account
- The information you give when you sign up must be accurate. You can't use someone else's name, email or identity.
- Your username can't contain insults or hate speech, impersonate someone else, or be used for advertising. We may ask you to change an inappropriate username or change it ourselves.
- Don't share your password with anyone. If you notice any unauthorized activity on your account, write to us right away. You're responsible for the consequences if your password is shared through your own fault.
- You can't transfer, sell or rent your account to anyone else.
5. Age and children
- BlueGrays has no age limit, and students use it too. If you're under 18, you should use BlueGrays with the knowledge of your parent or legal guardian.
- Paid purchases (Premium, Educator Pack) require the consent of your parent or legal guardian (Turkish Civil Code (Türk Medeni Kanunu), Art. 16). "Ask to Buy" on the App Store and parental controls on Google Play help with getting this consent.
- Parents can ask for information about their child's account, request that it be deleted or report an inappropriate situation. All they need to do is write to our official email address. We may ask for verification of identity and guardianship.
- We recommend that you don't share your full name, school, phone number, address or any details in your photos that could identify you on the forum.
6. Rules of use
When using the Platform, you may not:
- Share content that is unlawful, obscene, sexual, violent, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, harassing or bullying,

- Crawl the Platform with automated tools such as bots or scrapers, bulk-download content, or share or republish Premium content without permission,
- Use someone else's account, get around the rules with multiple accounts, or try to manipulate the rankings or the XP system by cheating.
You'll find the details in the Community Rules.
7. User content
7.1 Responsibility
You're responsible for making sure the content you share is lawful and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. You confirm that you have the rights needed to share it.
7.2 Public visibility
What you share on the forum is visible to everyone in the app and on the website, together with your username and profile photo; other members in the app can also see your first and last name. Forum pages on the website may be indexed by search engines. In the weekly league, your username, level and XP are visible. You can turn off league visibility in Daily Questions settings. Approved user projects are also published publicly.
7.3 The license you give us
You keep the rights to the content you share. So that we can show it on BlueGrays, you give us the following license: non-exclusive, free of charge, worldwide and non-transferable. This license is limited to storing, reproducing, displaying and technically adapting (e.g., resizing images) the content on the Platform, and automatically translating it into the Platform's other languages.
- If we want to use your content on BlueGrays' social media accounts or in ads, we'll ask for your permission separately.
- The license ends when you delete the content or permanently delete your account. Copies in technical backups are deleted within 35 days at the latest.
- Other users may use code snippets you share on the forum in their own personal and educational projects.
7.4 User projects
Projects you submit are reviewed before they're published. We may ask you for corrections, reject the project or take it down. If we reject it, we'll tell you why.
8. Zero tolerance, moderation, reporting and blocking
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We may remove without prior notice any content that violates these Terms or the Community Rules and, depending on how serious the violation is, warn, temporarily suspend or permanently close the account.
- Reporting: You can report posts, comments, user profiles and user projects with the "Report" option. Reasons: spam, insults or harassment, inappropriate content, personal information, copyright and other.
- Review time: We review reports within 24 hours at the latest. Non-members can also send notices through the web form. If there's a violation, we remove the content and take action against the user who posted it.
- Blocking: When you block a user, their posts and comments aren't shown to you. You can unblock them in Preferences.
- Filtering and moderation: To prevent inappropriate content, we may filter content with automated tools and review it manually.
- Notification and appeal: We keep a record of the reason and date of every removal. When your content is removed or your account is restricted, we tell you why. If you think we've made a mistake, you can appeal within 14 days through a support request or by email. We'll review your appeal and let you know the outcome.
In urgent cases such as a threat to someone's life, child abuse or content that constitutes a crime, we may inform the relevant authorities.
9. Copyright and rights infringement notices (notice and takedown procedure)
If you think content on the Platform infringes your copyright, personality rights or any other right of yours, you can let us know even if you're not a member:
- Web form: bluegrays.com/en/content-report
- In the app: The "Report" option on the content. For copyright infringement, choose the "Copyright" reason.
- Email: [email protected]
Your notice must include:
- Your first and last name and an email address where we can reach you,
- The link (URL) to the content,
- Which of your rights is infringed and how: for copyright, what the work is and an explanation showing that you're the rights holder,
- Your statement that the information is accurate and that you're the rights holder or their authorized representative.
We aim to review notices within 24 hours. If the infringement is clear, we take the content down within 3 days at the latest (Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works (Fikir ve Sanat Eserleri Kanunu), Additional Art. 4). We tell the user who posted the content why it was removed. The user can object with an explanation showing that the content is lawful. If infringements are repeated, we close the account. Knowingly sending a false notice may result in legal liability.
We comply immediately with the decisions of courts and competent administrative authorities.
10. Hosting provider and content provider information
BlueGrays is a content provider for the project, component, guide and blog content it creates itself. For content shared by users, it is a hosting provider (yer sağlayıcı) within the meaning of Law No. 5651 (the Turkish Internet Law).
As a hosting provider, we're not obliged to check content shared by users in advance or to investigate whether it's unlawful (5651 Art. 5(1)). When we're notified of unlawful content, we take it down. In line with these Terms, we also moderate content according to our own rules.
Our identifying information (5651 Art. 3 and Law No. 6563 Art. 3) is given in Sections 1 and 24 of these Terms.
11. Premium and purchases
The Premium subscription, personal offers and the Educator Pack are subject to the Subscription and Purchase Terms. Payments, cancellations and refunds are handled through the App Store or Google Play. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription.
12. Intellectual property
The Platform's software, design, name, logo, mascot Ohmi and all content created by BlueGrays (projects, code, diagrams, images, videos, texts, questions, component database) belong to us or are licensed to us, and are protected under Law No. 5846.
- You can use this content in your own personal and educational projects. You can adapt project code for your own circuits.
- You can't copy the content in bulk, republish it on another platform, sell it, or distribute Premium content for free.
- You can't remove the BlueGrays watermark from images.
The license we give you here is personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive.
13. Third-party services and links
The Platform may contain YouTube videos, store links and links to other websites. These sites are subject to their own terms, and we're not responsible for their content. If a link is an affiliate link that earns revenue for BlueGrays, we clearly say so next to the link. When you sign in with Google or Apple and when you buy from a store, that company's terms also apply.
14. Safety in electronics projects
Electronics projects involve electricity, heat, soldering, sharp tools and batteries.
- Only work on circuits that run on mains electricity (220 V) if you know enough and take safety precautions.
- Protect lithium batteries from short circuits and impacts.
- If you're under 18, build projects under adult supervision.
We prepare and test our content carefully. Still, we can't guarantee that every circuit will give the same result with every part and in every environment. When building a project, you need to check the technical specifications of the parts you use.
15. Changes to and interruptions of the service
We may add, change or remove features to improve the Platform. The service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance or because of technical faults; we fix interruptions as soon as possible. If we substantially narrow the core scope of Premium to your detriment, we'll let you know in advance, and you'll have the right to end your subscription without penalty. You can use your statutory rights.
16. Liability
- We're liable by law for damage we cause you intentionally or through gross negligence, and for personal injury (life, body, health). This liability can't be limited.
- To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damage (e.g., loss of profit) that arises unforeseeably and through slight negligence.
- We're not liable for content shared by users, except where we were notified of that content and didn't take the necessary action.
- We're not liable for interruptions in the App Store, Google Play, internet infrastructure or other third-party services that happen through no fault of ours.
- This section doesn't limit your statutory rights as a consumer (e.g., your optional rights in case of defective service).
For claims made against us by third parties because you violated these Terms, you're liable in proportion to your fault.
17. Suspension and closure of your account
17.1 By us
We may remove content, issue a warning, temporarily suspend or permanently close an account in the following cases:
- Violation of these Terms or the Community Rules,
- An unlawful act,
- Behavior that puts the security of the Platform or other users at risk,
- Signing up with a fake identity.
We choose a measure proportionate to how serious the violation is. For serious violations (e.g., child abuse content, serious threats, fraud), we close the account without a warning. We'll tell you about the decision and the reason for it, and you can appeal as described in Section 8. Even if your account is closed, your store subscription isn't cancelled automatically; you must cancel it in the store. Where a refund is required by law, your right to a refund is reserved.
17.2 By you
You can close your account at any time under Profile > Security > Delete Account. There are two options:
- Freeze: Your account is hidden and your data isn't deleted. When you sign in again, your account reopens. Freezing doesn't count as deleting your account.
- Permanent deletion: Your account and the data linked to it are permanently deleted or anonymized. This includes your forum posts, comments, inventory, progress and support requests. This can't be undone. There's one exception: transaction logs we must keep by law (traffic data such as IP address, device and version information) are kept for up to 2 years after deletion. To be able to match these logs, we keep a separate "deleted account" record containing only your user number, email address, username and deletion date. This record has no function in the app and is deleted automatically after 2 years. You'll find the details in the KVKK Privacy Notice.
If you can't access the app, you can send your deletion request from your registered email address to [email protected], or sign in on bluegrays.com and use the "Delete account" section on the Profile page. Deleting your account doesn't cancel your store subscription.
18. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms because of new features, changes in legislation or security needs.
- We announce changes in the app and by email at least 15 days before they take effect.
- For substantial changes to your detriment, we'll ask you to accept the new text separately before you continue using the app.
- If you don't accept a change, you can close your account without penalty and free of charge.
- Only typo fixes, contact detail updates or changes in your favor may take effect immediately after they're announced. The same goes for changes required by law or a court decision.
If you ask for previous versions, we'll send them to you.
19. Notices and contact
We send notices about your account, your purchases or these Terms to your registered email address or as in-app notifications. We send promotional messages, such as campaigns and discounts, only if you've given consent (see the Commercial Electronic Message Consent Form). You can reach us at our official email address or through the support section in the app.
20. Force majeure
For as long as events beyond our control continue, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, widespread internet or power outages, cyberattacks and decisions of public authorities, we can't be held liable for the obligations these events affect. We make reasonable efforts to overcome such events. If the disruption lasts a long time, Premium users' statutory rights are reserved.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Let's first try to solve any problem together, so write to us. As a consumer, you can also go to:
- For disputes below the monetary limit announced each year by the Ministry of Trade, the Consumer Arbitration Committee (tüketici hakem heyeti) where you live or where you made the transaction,
- For disputes above this limit, mandatory mediation before filing a lawsuit, and then the consumer court where you live or where we are located.
If you live outside Türkiye, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence also remain applicable.
22. Additional terms for the App Store
If you downloaded BlueGrays from the Apple App Store, the following terms also apply:
- These Terms are between you and BlueGrays (Yunus Emre EKE) only, and Apple is not a party to them. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- You receive a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the rules in the App Store Terms of Service, including Family Sharing and other permitted uses.
- We are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
- If the app fails to conform to an applicable legal warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Any other claims, losses and costs arising from a failure to conform to a warranty are directed to us, not to Apple.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, such as product liability claims or claims that the app fails to comply with legislation or consumer law.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and compensation of any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- We are the contact for your questions, complaints and claims: Yunus Emre EKE, Beylikdüzü, Istanbul *****, *****, [email protected].
- When using the app, you must comply with any applicable third-party terms (e.g., those of your internet service provider).
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept the Terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
If this section conflicts with Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA), these Terms prevail. For matters not covered by these Terms, the Apple Standard EULA applies.
23. Additional term for Google Play
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Google is not a party to these Terms.
