AA Battery is a cylindrical disposable battery type that provides a nominal voltage of 1.5V. It is widely used as an external power source in Arduino projects. Usually 2 or 4 are connected in series to provide the necessary voltage for motor driver boards, remote controls and portable circuits. When used with a battery holder, it can be easily integrated into breadboard projects.
